Tsepina Fortress, Dorkovo

High fort walls, castle and monastery complex in ruins, a few water reservoirs from 13th and 14th century, amazing panoramic view and a moderate effort hike… this offers the Tsepina fortress. It is easily accessible by car with parking spot right before the start point of the 15 minute walk up hill. According to some historical chronicles the place was inhabited in 5th century BC which puts your trip to the historical spot a ‘to do’ in the region.
